PE Butt Weld Details
This is a simple little app that calculates the welding times and pressures when butt welding PE pipe together. The outside diameter - OD (mm), standard dimension ratio - SDR and hydraulic cylinder area (mm2) are required to be entered in by the user to produce these calculations. The SDR can also be calculated if the water pressure class - PN and the material type (PE80 or PE100) is known. The PN to SDR conversion table is also provided in the main menu selection.I wrote this app to double check my onsite welding calculations when time is of the essence and the client is counting the seconds.
Note: This app was written essentially for a smart phone to be used on site.
